There was a time when Native Americans possessed the tools, the know-how and the resources to venture forth and obtain the things needed to sustain not only themselves individually but their societies as a whole.
However, with the buffalo gone, Natives found themselves confined to barren reservations and stripped of their ability to provide for their families and communities. At Tatanka Ska Ventures, we seek to protect Native American entrepreneurs and communities from disadvantageous situations, such as predatory investors. By protecting these businesses in their young, vulnerable stages, we hope to allow them the chance to grow into self-sustaining companies that contribute to local communities and provide an excellent example of what success looks like.
